What is DiamondAlerter? DiamondAlerter is a windows based
utility and is a nessasary component for your DiamondChat account. Not only it incorporates DiamondChat help
desk operator console it also serves as a complete notification system for a DiamondChat operator. Here are just some
of the notification alerts DiamondAlerter produces: ·
Visitor waiting for chat ·
Visitor waiting for response ·
Chat session transfer ·
New operator message ·
New callback request ·
New support ticket ·
New visitor arrival ·
Hourly account stats (traffic, chats/calls, and more...)
By utilizing DiamondAlerter a DiamondChat
Help Desk operator stays on top of all of the the
activity under the account and responds to new request more efficient. DiamondAlerter Help Desk notification system uses sounds or voice alerts. If voice is chosen for alerts
an additional selection of male and female voices is available.
DiamondAlerter can be installed on
Windows 9x, 2000, XP or Vista and requires Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 to
run. Here are the
installation instructions: 1.
Download and Install DiamondAlerter
(choose "RUN" in the dialog, do not save the file on your local
computer) 2.
Run Start->Programs->DiamondSoftware->DiamondAlerter 3.
You will be presented with DiamondAlerter
settings form(below)
Enter your DiamondChat username and password Choose whether you
would like to be notified when a new visitor has arrived to your web site
(this option is not recommended for accounts with high traffic websites. Choose the setting
for Auto Log out timeout. This setting is in minutes and will control the
idle time out setting for automatic operator log off. i.e. if setting is at
30 minutes, this means that DiamondAlerter will set
operator's status to "Offline" after 30 minutes of complete
inactivity on the user's computer(mouse/keyboard is not touched for 30+
minutes) Choose Alert Type setting (Sound/Voice) Choose whether you
would like to be informed hourly on the activity of the account by checking
"Hourly Stats Broadcast" check box. Click "OK"
button when done. You can always
change these settings by right-clicking the "Z" (DiamondAlerter) icon in the system tray of your computer
and choosing "Settings" option. * DiamondAlerter notifications are firing only when the
Main DiamondChat Operator panel is closed or
minimized. DiamondAlerter assumes that the operator
is aware of the activity on the account if the main operator panel is open
and does not fire the alerts to avoid redundancy. |
